Actress Veena Malik is in deep trouble.
An anti-terrorism court in Pakistan has sentenced her to 26 years of jail along with her husband Asad Bashir Khan.
The pair, along with Mir Shakil ur Rehman the owner the Jang group of publications that own Geo television and host Shaista Wahidi were each awarded jail time of 26 years for partaking in a programme that aired blasphemous content.
The channel has come under flak for, allegedly, airing the mock marriage of Veena and Asad with a religious song playing in the background.
The court imposed a fine of 1.3 million Pakistani rupees and said that the convict’s property should be sold if they cannot raise the fine.
All of the accused are currently not in Pakistan.
